How much does an air conditioning unit/ system cost?

 

Naturally each job has different requirements – houses, flats and business premises come in all shapes and sizes. So we always carry out a full no-obligation survey of every site before we quote in order to identify the most suitable and cost-effective solution.

 

How much does it cost to run the unit/ system?

 

Much less than you might think! Air conditioning is up to 40% cheaper than gas central heating and up to 60% cheaper than electric heating.

The heat pump systems we install can be used for both cooling and heating your home or premises, removing the need for a central heating system and substantially reducing energy bills.

 

When you pay for a kilowatt of electricity you get a kilowatt of electric heating. But with an air conditioning system, a kilowatt of electricity buys you over three kilowatts of heating in return, so your money goes further.

 

Are your systems eco-friendly?

 

Very much so. Heat pump air conditioning systems use renewable energy. They are more energy (and cost) efficient than other heating systems because they move heat around inside a sealed network, rather than simply consuming a fuel.

 

I don’t want the air conditioning to be obvious. Can I pick the unit(s) I like?

How long does an installation take?

 

It depends on the number of units required. A single-unit installation normally takes between one to two days.

 

Is there a lot of upkeep with an aircon unit/ system?

 

Just a maintenance check at least twice a year to ensure the system is operating at its best and prevent any issues developing. We offer a range of maintenance options to suit all sizes of system.

 

When you look after your air conditioning system with regular maintenance checks, you benefit from a really efficient system which lasts much longer than a non-maintained one, thus saving you money.

 

Do you service units you haven’t installed?

 

Yes. We carry out a survey first in order to offer the most suitable maintenance option.

 

Does the system come with a warranty?

 

All new installations come with a 3-year warranty when you choose one of our bespoke maintenance packages.

 

Can I contract legionella from an air conditioning system?

 

No systems we install carry a threat of legionella. With existing systems, we need to carry out a full survey before we can confirm this.
